All units shipped in economy mode, and are easily field upgraded to high rate mode. To provide maximum initial cooling in economy mode, the DC Flex-Cool start current draw (programmed for 1 to 10 minutes) is 57 amps @ 24 volt or 86 amps @ 12 volt. For example, depending on the ambient temperature and with the thermostat set at maximum cooling, the 24-volt unit will draw 54 amps for 1 to 10 minutes at start-up and then cycle on and off drawing an average of only 27 amps per cycle.

Test data can be provided for specific applications upon request.
